Who am I?
My name is Kathleen McLean (nee Clifford) and I am proud to say that I am a Teacher. Click here or the link above to find out more about me. What am I doing? Throughout my teaching career I have seen many curriculum documents come and go, new ideas and philosophies emerge and teacher practices. This website is a space for me to record the things that I am learning as I gain teaching experience and attempt to get the best of both traditional and contemporary teaching practices whilst preparing students for a positive and successful life in the 21st Century. But Why? I am recording these ideas, experiences, philosophies and resources in the hope that I can reflect on what I have done or learnt and also to be able to more clearly articulate what I am doing and why. When I entered the classroom a few years ago, I quickly learnt from my mentor teacher that connecting with others not only saves you time but sanity too. Sharing, learning from, and connecting with others is at the core of what I do. If ever you have any questions, comments or feedforward please don't hesitate to share them with me. I also love to hear about anything that you might try(especially if it fails :) as a result of what has been shared. Remember that Failure is often your First Attempt In Learning! |
